There were two preliminary elimination rounds:
The First round was conducted at 6PM on October 26th, at Kitchen Collective in Napa.
Up to 20 candidates competed in a blind tasting of 1 French or Californian white wine and 1 French or Californian red wine. The candidates answered a questionnaire regarding the 2 wines tasted, as well as multiple marketing and wine making questions about French and Californian wines. The top 8 scorers were invited to the Second round.
The Second round was conducted at 6PM on November 2nd, at Tonnellerie Radoux in Santa Rosa.
After the First round completed, the top 8 candidates were in a second round of elimination at the offices of Tonnellerie Radoux located at 480 Aviation Blvd. in Santa Rosa. The top 4 scorers had the chance to participate in the last and Final round during La Soiree.
The Final round will be conducted at 7PM on November 17th, in San Francisco – during La Soiree at The Village
